If you have already configured your ShuttlePro to jog and shuttle in VTEdit and Batch Capture with this tutorial, why not add control of the fader bar in Switcher?

This is so simple it's more of a "hey, here is the script" page than a tutorial. This script allows the ShuttlePro's Shuttle ring to control the Switcher bar through up to 99 percent of a transition. It does not take or complete the transition - you could do that with the space bar - but it allows for pulling transitions to 1/3, half, two thirds, etc., and then backing them out. Its usefulness is more for use with PIP DVEs, squeezebox DVEs, and that sort of thing.

This script uses the same hot-keys that VTEditShuttleHotKeys.ToasterScript uses for reverse shuttling, so twisting the shuttle ring to the left (anticlockwise,) when the Switcher is in use will effect the fader bar. It takes a little practice to use it smoothly. With its limited resolution the ShuttlePro is no replacement for an RS-8, but this short little script does add an interesting and sometimes usefull new aspect to a great VT[4] add-on.

To use it, simply download shuttlefade.toasterscript and copy it into C:\VT4\Skins\TabbedSwitcher\User Scripts. That's All There is to it. The script will take effect the next time you launch the Switcher.
